Australian Soil Classification: Bleached-Sodic, Magnesic, Yellow DERMOSOL

General Landscape Description: SE aspect, mid slope; hills – edge of colluvial "shoulder".
Site Description: Grazing paddock – runoff demonstration site.
Geology: Ordovician thinly bedded shale (micaceous).

B125-50 cmLight yellowish brown (10YR6/4) with brownish yellow (10YR6/8) mottles; heavy silty clay loam; moderate to strong very coarse prismatic, parting to moderate to strong medium polyhedral structure; very little gravel (2%); pH 6.1; gradual change to:
B21 50-80 cmBrownish yellow (10YR6/8) with reddish yellow (7.5YR6/6) mottles; light clay (silty); moderate to strong medium to fine polyhedral structure; extensive manganese staining (30-40%); pH 6.8:
