Mt Moornambool Conglomerate Land Unit

The Tertiary conglomerates are composed of well rounded pebbles and cobbles of reef quartz, some vein quartz and bedrock clasts that have experienced variable ferruginisation, silicification or kaolinisation. A Bleached-Mottled Brown Chromosol is the representative soil type for the simple slopes of gentle and undulating rises. The soils are likely to experience some sodicity in the subsoil.
