Mt Stavely Volcanic Complex Land Unit

This land unit comprises the undulating rises that form the south-east/north-west trending Mount Stavely Belt. The geology of this unit is complex consisting of a range of Cambrian volcanic rocks overlain by Tertiary sediments and Quaternary volcanics. The soils are typically Brown Chromosols that tend to have a ferric horizon dominant in ferromanganiferous segregations above the clay subsoil.
