Rocklands Basalt Land Unit

The undulating rises of the Rocklands Basalt LU occur on the north-eastern fringes of Rocklands Reservoir. This land unit occupies a small area of Cambrian volcanics in an area dominated by sedimentary geology. The major soil type is a strong texture contrast soil (Chromosol) with a layer of ferruginous nodules about the clay.
