General Land Unit Description:
This land unit consists of the rises and low hills of the Ordovician marine sediments around Ballarat. The soils tend to be shallow stony soils (Rudosols, Dermosols) on the crests and steep slopes, with deeper texture contrast soils (Kurosols, Chromosols) on the gentle slopes and fans. |
