General Land Unit Description:
This land unit forms a small section of exposed non-marine sandstone along Salt Creek around Woorndoo. The soils are commonly strong texture contrast soils, although they do differ in the subsoil chemistry, with some soils being sodic while other have a strongly acidic subsoil, similar to this site. These soils are found in association with Podosols on the colluvial slopes. |
