General Land Unit Description:
This soil type occurs on the level plains of the duricrust around Glenthompson. There is commonly a layer of ferruginous nodules within the topsoil, principally in the A2 horizon. This layer can sometimes become cemented. This feature is the major limitation for land use.

A220-45 cmPale brown (10YR6/3) fine sandy loam conspicuously bleached (10YR7/2) when dry, massive structure, ferruginous nodules are abundant. Sharp transition to:

B2145-100+ cmYellowish brown (10YR5/6) medium clay, many red (2.5YR4/6) mottles, strong blocky structure (20-40 mm), pH 6.7.
