General Land Unit Description:
The near level basalt plains in the Victoria Valley and to the east of Cavendish consist of an association of Mottled Brown Chromosols and Sodosols with variable surface horizon depths. The very slight rises that occur on the plains often have a few scattered surface stones. There are soils with light textured surfaces in the vicinity of sand sheets bordering the Wannon River. |
