General Land Unit Description:
The rolling low hill and slopes of Mount Eckersley, north of Heywood, consist of Black Dermosols and Chromosols. There are minor occurrences of Ferric Brown Chromosols, particularly on crests, and shallow, black self-mulching Vertosols on lower slopes. |
