Soils of the Glenormiston Area

In 1948 Ken Skene of the former Department of Agriculture prepared a report called the “Soils of the Glenormiston Estate” as the site was suggested for a dairy college. The report provided a description of the major soil types in the area as well as a sketch map showing their generalised distribution. Glenormiston College was later developed in this area.
