1-12 Nameless Cave - Rock Ravine

Locality:

7122-265947. One kilometre east of Drik Drik.

Access:

Harris Road off Nelson-Winnap Road. The cave is near the gate of the Rock Ravine property.

Geology/Geomorphology:

This is a small shallow cave in Bridgewater Formation dune limestone. Its main entrance is a roof collapse. The roof has four ceiling holes, which are probably solution pipes.

Significance:

Regional. Although dolines and depressions are common, caves are rare in this area.

Management:

Rubbish dumping should be prohibited and the rubbish cleaned out of the cave.
