7222-568113. Two kilometres west of Ama-roo Homestead.

McPhails Lane off Digby-Branxholme Road.

Geology/Geomorphology:

Kangaroo Creek swamp is a remnant of a larger wetland and is now artificially drained. A partly buried fence indicates that rapid deposition is occurring. It is possible that the swamp may have formed as a consequence of siltation of the creek following European settlement.

Significance:

Regional.

Management:

This site could be used to study the rates and patterns of valley sedimentation related to land use patterns. A statement of management principles is not considered practical.
