Rutherglen Clay Loam

Rutherglen Clay Loam is a minor soil type found over small areas, within some of the shallow depressions on the plains. Its main profile features are similar to the deep phase of Rutherglen Loam. It has the same grey and yellow brown mottled subsoil, with a yellowish colour when crushed. However, Rutherglen Clay Loam has a clay loam to light clay surface horizon and the subsoil clay occurs at depths varying from 25 to 30 cm.
