General Description:
Gently undulating rock outcrop is very common on the basalt plain. The gentle crests and very gentle slopes have similar soil types; shallow, uniform reddish brown clay loams. Basalt fragments are common throughout the profiles. Deeper gradational or duplex soils can occur in deep pockets between the rocks.
