McCallum's Creek is joined by McHugh's Gully at the top of this slide. The old house mentioned in slide 16B was located opposite the basalt cliff. The creek used to follow a different course, and threatened a group of buildings and an orchard. The landholder dug a new channel which the creek now follows. Clues to the existence of the old channel can be seen between the creek and the buildings.
