Geological heritage sites, including sites of geomorphological interest and volcanic heritage sites, are under regular revision by the Geological Society of Australia, especially in the assessment of significance and values. Reference should be made to the most recent reports. Imminent Cut-off (arrowed)

Access:
From Maroondah Highway.

Geomorphology:
The meander neck at this site is approximately 20 metres wide. Bank slumping is occurring at both sides so a neck cut-off is imminent.

Significance:
Local. This site provides the opportunity to monitor the rate and processes of meander isolation.

Management:
Class 1. The meander neck should not be artificially cut through or stabilized.
