Location:Lerderderg - 723321. Shire of Bacchus Marsh. Western valley slope of Lerderderg River 600 m northwest of Morven Homestead.

Lerderderg Valley - Alluvial Fan

Access:
Lerderderg Gorge road.

Ownership:
Private land.

Site Description:
A small gully draining from the south of the Blackwood Ranges has developed a large, steeply sloping alluvial fan extending onto the river terrace. The fan is now inactive and is weakly incised by a small gully.

Significance:
Local. The fan is a clear example of a relict landform, constructed during a phase of higher discharge and sediment load by the streams of these ranges.

Management:
Class . Continued rural land use will maintain the significance of the site. Buildings should not be permitted on the site.
