Tynong clay loam

Symbol: Ty

In the surveyed area, these soils are similar to Narre clay loam. However, because of their proximity to the soils on granite (ie. Garfield sandy clay loam) they have a high sand and gravel content throughout the soil profile, giving them a 'gritty' feel.

Land use

These soils are generally used for grazing.
