Site Description		A circular depression in the lava flow surface has well defined rocky margins. There is no overflow channel or inlet or outlet stream so the resulting swamp must be groundwater fed.

Significance
Local. The site is an unusually large depression and has not been extensively modified. It is a clear example of large scale initial topography on lava flow surfaces.
Management
Class 2. The site is being maintained as an open intermittent wetland without filling or further drainage.
