5.7.1 Modern floodplains
5.7.2 Modern floodplains with co-dominant calcareous linear dunefields




These are modern floodplains associated with ephemeral/relict streamlines that are contained within the broader Dunefield unit. They differ from the riverine floodplains proper which are generally larger and traverse through the Dunefield complex, e.g. Murray River floodplain.

They are distinct from the surrounding units and can be divided according to encroached material and landform, e.g. Murray River floodplain.
