Status:
Native to Victoria, Western Australia, South Australia and Tasmania

Plant Description:
Low-growing perennial shrub, spreading over the ground for 3-4 metres but will ascend tree trunks and drape over other shrubs. Thick oblong leaves, 6-30 mm long and 2-7 mm wide with entire (not toothed or lobed) or very slightly toothed margins.

Flowers are in clusters on stalks to 18 mm long, bell-shaped with 4 or 5 lobes, white with purple dots on the inside of the petals. Fruit is a globular, purple drupe, 5-7 mm diameter. Flowering over summer.

Habitat:
Growing on clay soils, often on saline flats.

Comments:
Not common but scattered in western parts of Victoria. Drought tolerant. Has been promoted as a garden plant.
