Habitat:

Grows on a wide variety of soil types – prefers well-drained soils. In Australia, Baleria grows well in tropical savanna country, along riverbanks and in grasslands. Found on rugged limestone outcrops with little soil cover. Found on sandy soil and grows well in disturbed areas including roadsides and overgrazed pastures. (CRC for Australian Weed Management 2003).
