Status:

Declared Noxious weed. The Agriculture Victoria website has information about the noxious weed classification of this species.

Habitat:

Warm-temperate regions preferring calcareous soils and exposed, moderately dry sites (Parsons and Cuthbertson 1992). It has become a weed in neglected areas and occasionally establishes on cereal stubbles, lucerne, potato fields and newly sown pastures (Parsons and Cuthbertson 1992).
