Perennial ragweed (Ambrosia psilotachya) (Nox)

Scientific name: Ambrosia psilotachya DC.

Common name: Perennial ragweed, western ragweed.

Status: Declared Noxious weed. The Agriculture Victoria website has information about the noxious weed classification of this species.

Habitat: Semi-arid grasslands, principally on sandy soils, usually found as a weed along roadsides, in uncultivated fields, vacant lots and waste places.

Note: There is no information on the present distribution of this weed from either PMIS records or from Lane et al 1980.

Parson and Cuthbertson (1992) - Indicate that small colonies found in the Victorian Mallee during the 1960's have been eradicated.
