Recent Marine, sandy surface (rm,s)

The recent marine mapping unit delineates soils on sediments immediately above the present high tide level. In the recent past it is likely these sediments were deposited under marine conditions. The surface soils have a very dark grey loamy sand surface soil which is generally high in organic material.
