Stockdale, gravely (Sd,gv)

Small areas of the Stockdale gravely mapping unit occur near Longford and Stockdale. Waterworn quartz gravel is widely but irregularly present in the A2 horizon. The subsoil clay is inclined to be finer structured and more friable than the generally harder and more plastic subsoil of the non-gravely Stockdale mapping unit.
