Variable Drainage Lines (dv)

Geology

Recent to Pleistocene sediments.

Landform

Stream channel.

Original Vegetation

Insufficient data is available.

Map: Drainage in the Maffra area

Soils

The soils in these drainage lines are quite variable. The flanks of the valleys are often stony since the incising stream reveals the deeper materials underlying the surrounding landscape. The valley floors are often comprised of sandy alluvium which may be quite deep due to wind action.

Chemical and Physical Analysis

No physical or chemical analyses have been carried out.

Land Use

The land use is generally similar to the adjoining land. The soils are generally prone to gully and side-wall erosion.
