The soil profile is excessively stony, containing less than about 20% fine earth fractions.

0 - 10 cm

Dark reddish brown (5YR3/4m) sandy loam; apedal, weakly coherent massive; heavy amounts of varied size rock fragments; diffuse boundary to:

10 - 60 cm

As above but; reddish brown (5YR4/4m). Impenetrable below 60 cm due to bedrock.
