The larger of the two representative units of this landscapes is about 4 km south east of Longerenong College, east of Two Mile Creek and north of the Wimmera River. The other unit occurs east of Horsham in the Riverside area. Kalkee clay is the characteristic soil type. Drung sandy clay loam and Drung sandy loam also occur. Probable original vegetation was a Spear and Wallaby grassland.
