Sand Plain

Map symbol: SP

The sand plain landscape occurs as a single unit about 6 km south east of Horsham bordering Burnt Creek. The landform is a level to gently sloping plain. Original vegetation may have been the Box, Buloke and Yellow Gum Tall Woodland. Soil types include Haven sandy loam, Quantong sand (shallow phase) and Murtoa clay.
