Management Considerations:
- Cracking clay profile, high clay percentage.
- Neutral thin surface soil and subsoil, alkaline at depth.
- Structured surface, occasional self mulching feels lighter than lab data suggests (subplastic).
- Subsoil is sodic and may be strongly sodic at depth Subsoil does disperse; highly dispersible.
- Cracking may allow air and seasonal moisture to penetrate.
- Very strong consistence when dry, implications for compaction and implement use.
- Landform element, flat: poor site drainage.
