Management Considerations

  • Gradational to texture contrast profile, calcareous, almost a Calcarosol.
  • Alkaline throughout and calcareous, subsoil is not dispersive.
  • Landscape position as crest of subdued ridge; may be lunette? Chemically relatively stable but exposure (of lighter surface) will accelerate wind and sheet erosion.
