Management Considerations

  • High susceptibility to wind erosion
  • Alkaline subsoils with calcareous soft segregations, manganese coatings (mangans).
  • Minor subsoil constraint >65 cm as mottling and soil colour indicates slightly imperfect drainage.
  • Lighter surface soil with strong fine structure with weak resistance to breaking down makes it vulnerable to wind erosion without stubble and trash retention.
  • Possible slight to moderate soil structure decline susceptibility due to poorer structure and dispersibility in the subsoil.
  • Landform element, duneslope; moderate to well-drained site drainage.
