Management Considerations:

  • Cracking clay soil.
  • Alkaline subsoil.
  • Friable (self mulching) surface soil but coarser structured subsurface soil, possible compaction.
  • Alkaline subsoil, calcareous and strongly sodic in subsoil.
  • Boron levels higher in subsoil.
