2.2.4 - Are there trees on my farm/site?

Remnant vegetation including trees, shrubs, understorey and grasses are important features of the landscape. You must obtain a planning permit before removing any trees. “Offset” planting of multiples of native trees (typically 200 per remnant tree removed) is likely to be a condition of a permit. However, a permit will not automatically be given. Consult the relevant Department of Sustainability and Environment (DSE) (external link) personnel before proceeding with planning – see Step 2.2.11.2
