Native to Victoria, Tasmania, New South Wales and Queensland.

Plant Description:

Small perennial herb to 50 cm high but often much smaller, with hairless stems and leaves. Stems procumbent to ascending. Leaves mostly 1.5-3 cm long, 2.5-15 mm wide, spatula-like in shape, thick and very blunt.

Flower-head a dense cylindrical spike with three triangular, basal bracts. Flowers creamy white, the five petals narrow and fused into a tube, 6-7 mm long and with lobes 4-5 mm long. Fruit a cocci, 4-6 mm long with 3 prominent wings.

Habitat:

Scattered and uncommon on coastal sand dunes along the Victorian coastline.
