Ledcourt Association

This is a relatively minor soil association representing, mainly, the coarse-textured (sandy) soils found in the dune-swale systems. It also represents those sandy locations included in other landform units eg. plains with prior streams, river flood plains and ‘clustered’ lake-lunette systems. The dominant soils are Red and Brown Sodosols (non hard-setting). Similar soils but with hard-setting surfaces are of sub-dominant occurrence in this unit.
